A Clinical Study Of Bronchial Asthma With Homoeopathic Management

چکیده
Bronchial Asthma is one of the major public health problems for the developed and developing countries. Worldwide, it is estimated that 300 million people are affected with bronchial asthma. India has an estimated 15‐20 million asthmatics with a prevalence of about 10% and 15% in 5‐11 year old children1. Asthma prevalence is increasing despite the recent advances in its management including understanding the inflammatory nature of the disease, use of steroids with add on long acting bronchodilators, use of devices to deliver the medications more appropriately and appreciation of the value of self management education. Bronchial Asthma is the most common chronic inflammatory lung disease and affects persons of all age, and is a major health problem showing steady increase in prevalence both in developing and developed countries. 5 The increase in atopy because of exposure of predisposed children to allergens such as house dust mite, & the use of antibiotics are among the many reasons cited for an increase in asthma & atopy. 6

A Study on Clinical Efficacy of Lepidium Sativum Seeds in Treatment of Bronchial Asthma
The present investigation was carried out to determine the efficacy and safety of Lepidium sativum (L. sativum) (Garden Cress, Fam: Cruciferae) in patients of bronchial asthma. L. sativum seed powder was given at a dose of 1 gm thrice a day orally to 30 patients of either sex in the range of 15-80 years with mild to moderate bronchial asthma without any concurrent medication. The respiratory fu...
متن کاملHuman platelet antigen polymorphism in bronchial asthma
Background: Asthma is recognized as a common cause of disability, of great economic cost, and of preventable deaths. In this study we aimed to test our hypothesis to evaluate the relationship between the Human Platelet Antigen-1(HPA-1) polymorphism and bronchial asthma and its severity, which would suggest genetic variances that may be responsible for expression or activation of these receptors...
متن کاملDetermination the Role of Endothelial Cell-Specific Molecule-1(ESM-1) in Childhood Bronchial Asthma
Background Endothelial Cell-Specific Molecule-1 (ESM-1) is a 50 kDa soluble proteoglycan that is produced mainly the vascular endothelial cells of the kidney and lung. It is produced by the effects of proangiogenic and pro-inflammatory cytokines, and it indicates activation and dysfunction of the vascular endothelium. We aimed to detect the role of ESM-1 in childre...
متن کاملAssociation between bread baking in wood tenor ovens and incidence and control of bronchial asthma in Ardabil, Iran, in 2013
Background: Asthma is a chronic multifactorial disease with a high prevalence. Among asthma risk factors, the effect of baking in wood tenor ovens (traditional form of baking) on bronchial asthma is still debated. The aim of this study was to determine the association between baking in wood tenor ovens and incidence and control of bronchial asthma. Materials and Methods: This descriptive stu...
متن کاملA Pilot Study of Polymorphism of Adrenergic Beta-2 Receptor and Mild Asthma: A Clinical and Pharmacogenetic Study
Glycine allele at codon 16 has previously been associated with the increase in asthma severity, bronchial hyperresponsiveness and also the increase in inhaled corticosteroid dependence. This study was designed to evaluate the genetic alleles in mild asthma.Thirty-four patients with diagnosis of mild asthma (FEV1 ≥ 80%, positive methacholine test) and body mass index (BMI ≤ 30 Kg/m2) were includ...
